Matching Dollars 2013 Campaign
In 2013 we pledge to keep our dollar match at the $15 level we pledged in 2012, in honor of our 15th Anniversary year. Your gift will help us continue to run this program for the duration of the market season and is a signal to your community that you care about your health and that of all your neighbors.

HELP A NEIGHBOR, AND SUPPORT US NOW!

Help us raise the $30,000 we need by July 1, 2013, to run this program at select FRESHFARM Markets this season.

HERE IS HOW YOUR GIFT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

$50 helps a family buy more fresh food for a month.
$100 helps a family buy more fresh food for two months.
$250 helps 5 families buy more fresh food for a month.
$500 helps 10 families buy more fresh food for a month.
$1,000 helps 20 families buy more fresh food for a month.

ALL gifts to our Matching Dollars are so appreciated by our low-income customers.

ABOUT OUR CAMPAIGN

The FRESHFARM Markets Matching Dollars Program helps make fresh food more affordable to customers who spend their Government Nutritional Benefits at our markets. Matching Dollars are free market tokens which match every purchase at market made by shoppers using SNAP (Food Stamps) and WIC (Women, Infants and Children) and SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program) coupons. In 2013, we will run this program at Dupont Circle, H Street NE, Foggy Bottom, Penn Quarter, By the White House and Penn Quarter (Washington, DC); Downtown Silver Spring (Maryland); and Ballston FRESHFARM (VA).

Last year, we gave more than $47K to underserved market customers to buy the fresh, local food available at our markets. And our Matching Dollars Program provides a double benefit: by lowering economic barriers to FRESHFARM Markets foods, the program helps low-income shoppers eat healthier while at the same time brings new customers to market and increases sales for our market farmers and producers.
